OK, we're now on the third year of the honeycrisp and there are no apples. It got only a few blooms, but no fruit developed. Meanwhile, the snow apple, which was purchased as a polinator, has a number of apples. I haven't fertilized any of my fruit trees (a peach and two cherries in addition to the apples). Maybe this is the problem with the honeycrisp. The cherries aren't producing, either, but I didn't expect them to this soon. The sweet one was decimated by japanese beetles last year and the sour is a standard not a dwarf or semi-dwarf so I expect it's got more years of growing before it produces fruit. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that and should be doing something to encourage fruiting (besides spraying, which we are doing for the first time this year). This is an extremely helpful forum. Hard to answer this without more information. Firstly is it really a jasmine or one of the many white bloomed vines sometimes referred to, mistakenly , as 'jasmine'. Secondly if it a jasmine, what species is it? Some have no scent. Thirdly where do you live? Is it possible you have bought a jasmine suited to indoor or greenhouse culture and have put it outside in the cold? Or vice versa, you have put a cool climate jasmine in the sun? Give us a bit more to go on. A picture would be good.

Night blooming jasmine loves the sun. If you bought the plant from a store that kept it indoors, that means after a certain time the plant grew soft leaves according to the indoor climate. Now that you have it and you want to have in your garden, just put it there. It's going to loose all those soft leaves and grow new ones according to outdoor climate. Don't be scared, all the leaves are going to dry up and die, but it's going to grow new ones according to the "too much sun, wind, rain", stronger and shorter in size. The only thing that the night blooming jasmine doesn't take is too much cold or snow. Eventually it's going to die. If you live somewhere where it never snows or if the temperature never goes bellow 40 degrees F, you're OK. Otherwise you have to take it indoors winter time. Good luck

Ditto on the late blooming of Cestrum nocturnum. Mine just started forming floral branches (nothing has opened yet). Usually fragrance seems to peak in September and into October. If you want more year fragrance, you can add additional jasmines to your collection. Polyanthum blooms around February, sambac blooms throughout the year, angel jasmine seems to bloom in july-August and again in the middle of winter. Good luck!
