I think it's going to be a challenge to make it look like a feature rather than a patch. I'd suggest being much bolder than a white on white design. Perhaps use something that ties in the beige with some other color(s) you want to bring into the room as an accent. I'm giving a link to a site with some beautiful glass mosaics to inspire you. You can also play with their custom blend builder to see what color combinations you like. For example, on the "Subway 1x3 inch blends" page, check out Amazon and Urban Camo 10. On the Bijou 2 Inch glass page, I love the Retro Turquoise with Caramel, and also the Urban Mix 10. If he has to rip out the bullnose above those 12 tiles, that's going to be even more of a challenge. For one thing, the bullnose is offset from the field tile, so I don't know how he's going to do it cleanly above the tile to the left of the toothbrush holder. And you'll need to rely on his skill to not damage the tiles on the perpendicular wall. Also, it looks like you'll need a radius bullnose, and not all tile lines include that shape. You could ask him to suggest specific lines of tile that would work for that bullnose, and see if any of them please you. Bill V. can chime in here, but I *think* it's the shape that American Olean calls A4200. You can see it in their "Matte" line and their "Bright" line. Hope this helps.... "Back in the day"...it depends on how far back we're going...but usually a tile was left off the wall and the dish was set in place of the tile with a dollop of plaster of paris. There might be variations, but in my small world that's how a soap dish or toothbrush holder was set in place. I'm referring to ones set onto a tiled wall. If yours is indeed simply surface applied over the tile, then your best bet would be to try to cleave it from the surface with a chisel of some sort and a mallet, with the chisel held at a very low angle.

As most guests don't take baths buy one of those multi-liquid dispensers that stick to tile or the wall. You put them at the height that would be comfortable for accessing while taking a shower. They come in anywhere from 2 liquid containers to 4-5. They also come with labels to stick on the outside which states what you filled each dispenser with. It is good to get a 3 or 4 container dispenser. That way you fill one dispenser with liquid soap, another with shampoo, and another with hair conditioner. I've seen them in different plastic colors or faux stainless. You just press a button on the bottom to open up the enclosure that reveals all the dispensers. Take the cap off of the dispensers you will use and put in the appropriate liquids. They beat a soapdish or one of those shower caddies with a stick. They have them at places like Bed, Bath, & Beyond and most any bath shop. I'm sure they have them at Target or Walmart too. It just depends on how nice a product you want. And you never have to worry about soap "melting" in the soapdish or bottles of conditioner or shampoo cluttering up the area. Greg
