I fell for it as well. Mine is the Mona lavender variety but I think you're right they're similar. I'm planning to give it the coleus treatment where I keep a few cuttings in water on the windowsill for a few months until potting them up in march. I've done other plectranthus this way and they've been even easier than the coleus.

Do you have any idea when blooms might be expected? Mine looks like it might have a few developing but I'm not positive yet. The foliage is nice enough though.

I bring in about 5 types of Plectranthus for winter, as potted plants. Mona usually goes semi-dormant, losing foliage. Looks great again now after being back outside for a while, blooming the past 2 months, not expected to stop until brought inside. Yours will probably fare a lot less dramatically in a GH than mine in my laundry room.

Although I keep Coleus in water on windowsill for winter, have been for years, never tried any other Plectranthus that way. Glad to read Katob's testimonial. That windowsill space might as well be used for something, I'll make sure no Plectranthus stems are neglected in my save attempts this fall!

Mine has just started to flower now after being moved to the greenhouse for the winter, first open bloom, such a pretty plant. I have several cuttings rooting in water just in case....

I imagine it is like any other tender plectranthus. I have done both successfully. I find them easy to care fore in the winter. They might look rangy and freshens up in spring very quickly. It deals with the occasional near freezing of my woodshed just fine. I do not worry if it nothing but shorn sticks ( to save on space).

I love this plant… It’s Flowers September through Christmas. It started out as a house plant for me, but the cuttings I have taken and rooted and planted are used outside during the summer months. It preferred protection from the hot sun and does beautifully! Comes late September I bring it indoors! Good luck with your plants, i’m having good luck with mine!

I was given a plectranthus, but not sure which cultivar. I adore it! I bring it into the house in the late fall. It just started blooming last week and it is so pretty. I will try to take a photo tomorrow...if I remember-lately, nothing stays in my brain very long. Sigh.
