Stamped Concrete Advice

I have a stamped concrete patio, which had a base color and an accent color (release). The release was put on way too heavy and the patio became that color. (Contractor) Painstakingly, I stripped the acrylic seal and the release off the patio. The color is close to what we wanted without the release, but we definitely want the accent so that it looks nice.

When it is wet it looks like the picture below. It is close to the color of our house. If we have release put on it - will it look that much different and is it worth the cost?

It looks ok wet, but MUCH harder to see the differences in shading when dry. Wet looks pretty nice, though.

We are also hoping to have a low-sheen (matte) finish once completed.

A contractor will do both release and seal, but will cost us $1,500 for this 630 sq ft patio - so any savings would be nice.
