Need a color for a teen lounge room with a beige sofa and similar rug
Comments (13)The navy is growing on me...I have nothing blue in my house all very brownish tan colors with lots of green.....I didn't want to have such a color shock with the blue but I feel it could be warm. Would you do stick with light wood color blinds or tan Curtains/tan blinds? Also what color pictures, would you throw in red?...See MoreNeed help with a lounge room
Comments (4)To counter all the cool tones and to make the piano look less heavy, I would suggest an Oriental rug that is mainly red. You need curtains panels on the windows, and I would suggest a cream color in a heavy, possibly self-patterned fabric. Move the piano to where the chairs are and make a conversation area with a couch in front of the windows (great light for reading), a small coffee table (glass to show off rug), an end table with a nice lamp and a small easy chair or two across from the sofa. Definitely beautiful art on the walls...See MoreNeed help to convert a guest bedroom into a comfy TV lounge area
Comments (13)A coffee table on rollers would be ideal. Since you only need 18” from sofa to table a round would work nicely in the space. Measure to determine table size. Put painter blue tape on floor to depict size of sofa, chair(s) then see what space is left in middle area. You have a lovely home for sure so can’t go too wrong. 😊...See MoreNeed help for optimizing the living room, lounge area, and office
Comments (8)I really dislike TV in my LR and usually we are the only ones to watch TV so I would do what the old owners did and have the TV away from the main living room where conversation is happening at least in my home. From what I can see I would do the TV in the DR so like a media room and have my DR where the breakfast/ lounge area is . I think before making major decisions in a new to you home let the house tell you how it functions . Often a house functions much differently than you planned. For instance traffic patterns are often dictated by the house no matter what you planned..IMO an office needs to be in a dedicated space so that a door can shut it away....See MoreLeah Roberts
