How much do frameless glass shower doors cost?
Comments (90)Ours was 3K, included all parts, glass, labor. The shower is a modified square shape a square with a slice off of one of the corners. Of course, that's where the door is. He really struggled with getting it all to line up. Mostly because the standard door wasn't the same size as the opening for it and there is an additional trim piece of glass beside the door. Looks great in the end, fainted at the price. Good to see that others are familiar with these kind of numbers. He did everything, measure, fabricate, deliver, install. They were very tall pieces of 3/8" tempered glass. It was no picnic for him!...See MoreHow to move frameless glass shower door rail
Comments (2)Is this screwed into sheetrock or into tile? Whatever it is screwed into will need to be repaired and the holes do not sound like they are moving very far so be certain that you do not break one into the other because then you will have a mess especially in sheetrock....See MoreVery high quality over the shower door towel racks?
Comments (9)Look at Command Hooks. They are now making brushed nickel or chrome look, etc. in a few different styles. I wouldn't call them top quality, but they are fine looking and will hold a towel easily. You could put one on the wall nearest the entrance so you can reach out and grab your dry towel. Put it above eye level and it won't be noticeable at all. They won't damage the wall or tile/marble. If you have enough room in your shower, you could put one IN the shower out of reach of the spray. I've had two (to hold wet washcloths to dry before putting in the laundry) in my shower for about 3 years and they seem to do fine in the damp, even direct spray when cleaning the shower....See MoreGlass shower door dimensions help
Comments (11)The glass door in question is for our condo. At home we have a glass shower door that is 34" X 72" on a 6" threshold. The combined height of 78" is more than adequate. Our shower is at the end of our tub. Glass between tub and shower is also 78" above shower floor. This is looking less like 'science' and more like 'whatever suits you'. I don't want the new door to look 'skinny-minny' and I don't want to over spend for it. (Bids on the 76" glass are $1700 - $1900, installed.) So...again... 1. Do glass doors come in 72" heights? 2. Are they less expensive than 76" tall doors? 3. Is there any functional problem with a door 78" high? (Is there a 'steam' issue -- standard opening between top of door and shower ceiling?)...See More- 11 years ago
