Neither heat, thrips, or heavy dew can stop these daylilies from being beautiful.

Today's installment of Fighting Fire: watermark receding and edge a cream and gold.

A slice of the new "red bed" with red pentas, Fighting Fire, and Bullfrog Kisses. Note: this bed is still under construction.

Silly Whimsy in the middle, trying to keep the team of Hold Your Horses from gallopping away.

Metallic Blue Eyes

Stinger arrived this Spring as a single fan and has now split in two with a rebloom scape coming.

My seedling, Symphony of Praise X Henry Lorrain. This is the one that first bloomed last year and was a throat pincher on 75 percent of the flowers. The largest bloom had some thrip damage and the one in back didn't have enough sun to fully open. Unfortunately no improvement on bud count - 7 - from last year. But its planted in poor soil, so better sun exposure and better soil may improve it next year. Color is lighter and more pure pink this year. Last year it looked raspberry pink (much darker). Lighter sepals may be the result of the bug spray.
