How can I quiet tree frogs?

This is "kind of" a garden question, right? We live rural, out by Lake Thunderbird and we must have the "New York City" of tree frogs living out here. They don't really creep me out when they jump out of the watering cans and generally, I'm grateful for the insects they eat. But the dang things screech so loud at night we've had to close our doors & windows just to hear the television!!! We have an above-ground pool just off of our back deck so I'm sure all that water draws them also. I've read a previous thread from 2008 that Dawn posted about keeping the balance of good and bad bugs so I don't want to upset the eco-system here but I think it must be out of whack already to have so many of these critters croaking and screeching!

I've wondered if hanging inflatable owls around would help? I'm not beyond spraying something at least around the deck & pool area to keep them at bay. I just don't want so many of them close to the house.
