Need advice for this weekend: thin/cut weeds before spraying?
Comments (2)I would just spray it. If there is no grass like you said then give it a good spray of Weed B Gon. It should wilt within a week or two, depending on how large the area is. Obviously, if you could remove some of it before spraying that would be less area to cover but if it's difficult then just spray it down....See MorePurple Dreams in my garden...one pic ( and slideshow)

Comments (5)My husband just made my first raised bed three days ago using cement bricks we already had. It looks really good and though it was backbreaking work to carry the bricks, husband said it was very easy. Lacking easy access to many of the materials in the sq foot book, we used black silage plastic for the bottom and covered it first with straw seeped in horse manure then a layer of garden grit followed by four bags of compost mixed with grit. The depth is about 12 inches which should let us grow almost anything if it works. My family is very found of American veggies that take up a great deal of space and or grow vertically. So I'm working out ways to get our Three foot by Nine food bed with as many things going up as possible. I'm only 4'8" so the child sized width works perfect for me, but we made the bed longer to conserve bricks. I used old rusted steel beams for the horizontal makers and bamboo stuck under to mark the vertical squares. No link yet as we are just starting - good luck with your bed! Comments (6)I love decrative bird houses here's the ones in my home, not a one was $10.00 this one I bought at and import store, $5.00, they had a basket full: this one, very rustic, needed fixing and re-painting for a friend, and when finished she said it's yours enjoy! This strange 2 story, I liked the painting on it, was about $3.00 And these next 2 are very small, but perfect to hang in my tree's in my house, what's a birdhouse without birds so I added a bird to each one: And these 2 were bought at a Dollar Tree Store for ....you got it, $1.00 each and made of wood, with a grapevine added. You can find bird houses all over, and not pay high prices, all you got to do is look!...See Moreamj0517
