It is nice to have options. amelanchier, last weekend I was traveling to central PA, I checked out your link, there are several places I'd like to visit, but the only one that was on the way is no longer open. :( Oh well, I am a lot closer now to Bowman's Hill than I used to be. I went to a place I used to frequent and bought 15 bare root trees. I'd better finish planting them before I buy anything else. David

For mail order I have used Ernst Conservation Seeds (http://www.ernstseed.com/) a number of times for plants and seed. Their catalog is pretty good about specifying the "ecotype" of the species and whether the species is native or not. I have also used Wild Life Nursery in Wisconsin (I don't think they have a web site) for bare root plants and seed -- I am growing some Duck Potatoes I got from them and they're big now. I am also attaching a link for native plant nurseries for the Chesapeake Bay area which includes a few New Jersey nurseries. I have not done business with any of these New Jersey nurseries so I can't comment on their quality. From time to time I see people seeking places to buy native plants. Clemson Farms in Estelle Manor, NJ, which sells predominantly wholesale, will have a retail day on Sat., June 6 10am-2pm. More info on their website at http://clemensonfarmsnativenursery.com/ Naturalist Patricia Sutton will be giving tours of the native plant display gardens at 10, 11 and 12:45. According to their website, the next retail day will be September 19. (Estelle Manor is in south Jersey, about 1/2 hour west of Atlantic City.)
