We do not use fabric softener and dryer sheets. I cannot stand the scent and the feel on the fabric. We also do not use liquid detergent, we run vineger and water through wash cycle to clean the washer monthly. I use microfiber towels to dry hair too. I collect vintage jewelry made of precious metal. I found microfiber towels are great for drying jewelry after being cleaned. Many thanks to all of you for the responses.

Nthing Aidan & Handymac that you should practice on cheaper materials. If this is really your first attempt at woodworking, you're almost certain to generate a fair bit of unintentional scrap. You won't always have a clear understanding of what to do next, and to avoid being completely stuck you'll guess. Sometimes those guesses will be wrong. You'll enjoy that learning a lot more if it isn't expensive. Find a mentor who can help you through the basics if at all possible. I also think Handymac's strategy of buying the plywood first and then finding solid to more-or-less match it is a good idea. If I were to buy walnut plywood I'd have to special-order it; I'd have little or no control over the color of the plywood, whereas I can pick and choose from a pile of walnut boards.

omg. feel better soon please looks like you've found rugs already (I was about to suggest real wool thing, you can't thow them in the wash of course but they also don't get nasty easily. and they're heavier, they stay in place better. But it's probably less matching your style, and you already found good solution) couple (maybe unhelpful) tips from somebody who's having balance problems, dizziness, etc. might sound strange -but keep towel next to you, so you reach it easily, and wipe your feet first. after taking a bath/shower. I always make sure my feet are reasonably dry. less chance to slip. everything else comes after. also, I usually bathe/shower twice a day. Yet. If I'm having a very bad day. If everything tells me I should skip this routine right now.. I skip it. I don't like it, I feel less refreshed and all, but I would like broken hip or something even less. ah. how often you use your scales? I can't do scales. anymore. you obviously can-but when you feel especially dizzy, skip scale. Requires balance. Easy-peasy, it should be-under normal conditions. But right now, take extra precautions. You don't want to wobble on it-not only because it won't read results, but because you don't want to wobble now, like, at all. Use it in the mornings when you feel less dizzy, more stable.

I'd love to see pics of the green bathroom. I've freshened one with baby blue tiles by scrubbing the tub and tile (tons of time and elbow grease), removed all caulk and most of the grout, re-grouted and caulked. I also replaced the floor, toilet and vanity. I think a good plan for your blue bath, when you are able, is to clean up the tile, add a white fabric shower curtain, have the floor polished, replace the vanity, faucet and light. Here is the one I restored. That's an Ikea vanity that goes well with the retro tile IMO. I'd stay with white paint and use art on the walls. Rather than paint the wood on the window how about a curtain or shade to draw the eye? I have two more bathrooms to tackle with old tile, one is off-white with gold speckles and the other with pink speckles. I'm thinking of covering the pink tile with wainscoting as it is in a powder room and the tile is part way up 3 walls. The gold speckles are subtle and I'll work with them as the room also has a shower stall I do not want to replace. The tile is in too good of shape to demo. Sometimes change is hard. Have you tried showing your Mom pictures and getting her involved in the planning? Regarding the door and trim, you really shouldn't paint unless there is a plan for the whole house. Are all the doors and trim wood? Would love to see the green bathroom!
