What is this on my petunia?

I went out of town for a week and when I returned the majority of my petunias had this spot on the petals. The plants overall just don't look great but hard to describe. I looked for pests. I didn't see obvious spider mites or caterpillars. I did find a few very tiny black insect or mite looking things on the stems but they really didn't seem to be the problem. The stems look fine. The petals mostly look like this pic. I'm worried its fungus/blight and they are doomed but I have no idea what that would look like on a petunia. I plant petunias every year and have never had any problems. I don't really know if it rained a lot while I was gone and its possible we have our drip system over watering a bit but not sure. They have only been planted in the pots for about 2 weeks. Help??? Thanks! Lyn
