need bookcase door ideas

I want to put doors on the lower portion of floor-to-ceiling bookcases. The bookcases are mahogany with a dark stain. The bookcase ends stand away from the walls. That is, the front and one side of each bookcase are visible.

I only have enough wood to build the cabinet door frames without the panels. So far, I haven't been able to find wood to match the grain. Also, that would be a lot more dark wood.

The reason for the doors is to have the option of converting the space to a dining area, thus stashing stuff I don't want seen.

Wire mesh panels would be hard to dust. Since there is only mahogany I didn't want to use wood from another species. I thought of glass panels with a pleated fabric "lining". If I go that route, what color fabric? Off-white? Dark red or dark blue to bring out the colors in the oriental design rug? Too twee?

What other options are there?
