High Society confirmed dead; assumed dead First Mate found alive!

You win some, you lose some. First, Gypsy Rose was MIA, then discovered thriving and gorgeous under the dwarf spirea bush's branches (which were promptly trimmed away to give Gypsy some visibility). Then, one of the two MIA First Mates was found pipping and is now thriving and well leaved out. Then Sparkler was replaced by a hole in the ground by squirrels, a new one promptly ordered and planted...only to have the original Sparkler now coming up, 6" away, with 2-3 leaves now. High Society is most definitely dead, with a withered pea-sized leaf emerging and tiny dried out roots. But...the OTHER First Mate has just sent up a single slender leaf through the mulch. Go figure! ONLY 3 weeks later than everybody else.

These hostas are driving me crazy, I tell ya!
