Help choosing/preparing soil for blueberries, Pacific NW (Van. Island)

1st time to buy and grow blueberries. I know 2 local commercial u-picks both grow Duke and Blue Crop (they also have others including Toro and HardyBlue). Guess it is a no brainer to choose what they grow? We've picked both Duke and Blue Crop. I assume they've done their homework for our region. Any suggestions for a 3rd variety? In the plant stores I see Reka, Spartan, Patriot, Legacy, Brigitta Blue. Don't want the largest growing bush either.

Best way to prep soil? I read they prefer a very acidic soil. I am just building my beds and then will be planting. Sandy soil mixed with 3yr old horse manure (about 50/50 manure and stall shavings) is what the beds will be. 12'x2'x9" dimensions.

Thanks!
