Purplepansies Blue Louise--I love the combination of the copper brown and the blue. Florantha Starry Night--Good job finding swirly tile. I tried this exercise, but was stumped searching for swirly tile. I love the dark blue drapes. Purplepansies Approaching Thunder Storm--Oooh, I love the artwork! You did a great job of capturing the colors and the mood of the painting. I love the magma supreme granite. Honorbiltkit Vuillard--Also a beautiful painting, full of interesting details and patterns. You captured the color of the rug in the painting, and the painting you chose for your design does a great job of mimicking the painting in the painting. If that makes any sense. Palimpsest Vuillard--You also did a great job of capturing the colors of the painting, playing up the neutrals a bit compared to Honorbiltkit. The floor--is it Marmoleum?--mimics the colors of the rug. Style-wise, the table is unexpected, but I really like it in the design. Pricklypearcactus Lanadscape with Butterflies--I like the interplay of colors in your kitchen just as much as in the original painting. I just want to say how very much I've enjoyed this thread. I liked the artwork, I liked the kitchens, and I liked all the creative thinking that went into putting them together.

I think you should take some time today with newspaper and painters blue tape and play with what sizes and shapes you think will work in each space. They both could use large pieces of art and scale will be everything in the space. (Or in the water closet you could get several coordinating pieces that are square and stack them.) Then go armed with color swatches and your measurements. Then keep open to what speaks to you. You want to make sure you get something you love to look at as you will be seeing them every day...no need to start the morning in your beautiful bathroom with a cringe because the art suits the space, but not you. From a technical pov, I would be concerned with an expensive piece of art on paper over the bathtub as the moisture could be problematic. Probably less of an issue in the WC. So keep open to metal wall sculpture pieces too. GF got a perfect one for over her fireplace in her FR at an art fair. You might consider tub area could use a large sculpture instead of wall art. Garden statuary might be an affordable way of accomplishing sculpture if you don't want to spend the $$$, or smaller sculpture on a pedestal will work too.

Wanted to report back about the room since I've lived with it for some time. I really like it this way. I think it looks better IRL than these photos. Which is really true I don't know but what I'm seeing everyday is the better so that makes me happy. The chair facing the furniture works well too. I sat there plenty of times for chit chatting while company was over. I'm finally at the point where I'm ok with getting a rug. The carpet is starting to look more worn in some areas, IMO, even though nobody seems to be able to see this. It will help ground the space more. When it's time to replace maybe we'll go with hardwood. I'm still on the fence since I like vacuuming carpet. :) I also want to get a leather ottoman. Family and friends who've seen my house through all the stages like this arrangement. Any other ideas before I call the main bones of the room good? Stay tuned for a rug thread at some point. I'll do some mock ups but of course will want feedback on size and color.

I have been spending my pennies at yard sales and estate sales to add to my garden and come home with some treasures! I almost feel the need to stop , almost! Haha i picked up this swan this weekend . Here's the rest of my treasure . It's not all where I want it but I'll be working on that soon Gonna be a petunia planter .. Flea market gold ! Got this feeder , it will go on top of a rickety wood ladder and support my honeysuckle vine .
