A dark tourquise, coral or deep emerald.

Sea salt actually works well with both warmer and cooler whites. That combo has worked fine for me but you could also try BM Palladian Blue, SW Rainwashed, or SW Comfort Gray

Hi all - yes, it’s a lot of color. But after many years of renting, we are thrilled to be in a position where we got to choose the paint colors and we really love how it all turned out - except for the trim, of course. The previous owners made a lot of interesting paint choices (like SW Denim in the guest bath and bedrooms 🙈), so we were forced to repaint anyways. I don’t know if the home was originally a Craftsman, but it was built in the 50’s and taken down to the studs in 2014 - hence the new windows. Our home faces the West and we have several large oak trees in our yard, so for the most part, the house is really lacking in natural lighting (except for the dining room). We’ve added some more recessed lighting in the main area to lighten things up and are also in the process of switching all the light bulbs from soft lighting. We also have low ceilings - I think 9’ tall? Here is the dining room - ignore the light fixture as it’s not staying.

There are a couple more things to consider. Generally you can get a close enough match to a paint color that unless you are looking at them side by side no one will see the difference. However, I would be warry of a painter who was inflexible. Did his quote include the cost of paint. Is it based on him getting a large discount? What quality is he quoting (every paint has multiple levels of quality and some simply don't hold up.) Are you aware that Dunn Edwards was bought out in 2017 by Nippon Paint. It may not make a difference to you, but I would prefer to buy from SW and support the US economy than to buy DE and support the Japanese economy. DE was historically a good quality paint, but I have no idea what changes have occurred since the buy out.
