Best Exterior Primer for Aura Paint over wood?

My house is a mix of wood siding and stucco. I am planning to use Aura paint but not sure of the best primer to use with it. I'm not planning to prime the stucco as the old paint there is still in good shape. I am prepping the wood siding for paint. The paint on the wood areas is in really bad shape, but thankfully my house is small and the wood areas are only in front. There are areas where the paint scrapes off easily leaving large patches of bare wood. And there are other areas where the paint is badly cracked but is still adhered to the wood. I was thinking of using the Fresh Start Exterior Wood Primer (094). Is there a better primer that is made for going over cracked paint? Something compatible with Aura? I'm spending a lot of money on Aura paint, so I don't want to cheap out on the primer. Advice or suggestions?
