Thanks for the reply. My biggest concern is the flashing and looking around it seems that doesn't seem to be a problem with Aura as it is with the Regal line. I've always primed using with BM Primer which still is expensive primer wise (but not Aura expensive) when using Regal. I'll have to figure out pricing wise, though I always like to do two coats of the paint/color to get the deepness in the color. So I guess two coats Aura might be cheaper that two coats of Aura + 1 primer or even 2 coats of Regal + 1 primer. Thanks again

Shee & Co., Sorry it took me a while to get back to this.... Skewing: I shouldn't have mentioned this goofy little point, but now it's out there! It's only relevant in a few "Real-life" scenarios. It mainly pertains (to ME anyway...) paint applied too thinly, therefore revealing a hint of the primer color. * Example: If someone uses a "pink" primer under Burgundy, the whole paintjob can appear too light, 'cuz the primer is too white. * To ME...Gray is more appropriate, 'cuz it alters deep colors the "least", if paint is applied too thin. * Gray primer has its limits though! If you're painting a vivid "Lemon Yellow" or "Basketball Orange", THEN you'd need a primer that's almost the final paint color! A medium-gray primer COULD give a grayish-cast to bright, vivid tones. Curing/Bathroom use: * Sorry Shee.....you'll have to smell for a month.........;-) * JUST KIDDING! * After 2nd paint coat has dried for a day, use bathroom as normal. It needs that 24hrs. to get the initial surface-dry so steam doesn't re-soften the paint slightly. * "Full Cure-Out" mainly refers to the complete dry-thru/hardening of the applied film...SO IT'S WASHABLE. "Sweeping": * If you're working L-to-R, the RIGHT edge of a "swept" section will be the wettest. * Therefore, you're OK to slightly work into this section. When sweeping your 2nd column, start from its left edge, overlapping into 1st column slightly. * Ease-off the pressure on your rollers left side just a hair when overlapping a previous sections' final sweep. okay Bath and Spa is the way to go if any humidity will be in the room... without getting to scientific, the surface of the paint actually accepts the moisture and spreads it along the surface, resulting in no sweat marks after a shower... the result of which is a beautiful matte finish all the time, without the water marks... the regular aura while outstanding paint, does not do this, it simply rejects the water and seals the surface much like a traditional semi-gloss... not that I think there would ever be a problem here, but for the same price your better off with the aura designed for humidity. so far as the foundation coat is concerned when you order your paint the retailer should get a warning on their computer if the color you order requires a foundation coat, but in theory yes three coats would work just fine... Or instead of purchasing an expensive foundation product (think it's close to $50 for a gallon) you could just use a deep base primer and have it tinted toward the color you need. also the big rule with aura is to get it on the wall, it does a lot of the work for you, you just gotta keep moving... And about the quick drying... keep in mind this is an east coast product, where humidity is high... in dry areas this paint WILL dry extremely quick.

Aura is $52/gallon here in Dallas. I tried Aura, was disappointed, and went back to my good old BM Regal. Got Aura matte and Regal flat in the same color (a special mix that is a warm medium tan) and put them side by side. Differences that I noted: Aura matte has a lot of shine to it. Viewed at an angle the color of the Aura was amazingly and totally different from that of the Regal, because of the reflection factor. In fact, color was not very prsent at all because of this. Front-on view the shine shows up slightly as well. Store had told me there was no visible difference between flat and matte, and this is just not true. Front on you can see the diff too. Aura dripped more than Regal, which it wasn't supposed to do. Aura has a strong ammonia smell while going on. Regal has its nice painty smell. It is true that the smell from Aura goes away sooner after drying. Aura covers just a hair better on coat #1 than Regal does. But in either case you have to put on two coats. (I was painting over a very light beige cheapo builder flat paint.) Also used Aura semi-gloss to paint our pre-primed MDF baseboard on a flat surface (before it was installed). It dripped like crazy off the edges and ends of the boards. The claim that the paint is thicker doesn't seem valid. I will say it went on beautifully and looks really good with one coat. I think I MAY use Aura semi for trim despite the drip factor. Many will probably disagree with me but I don't see what all the hype is about.
