Should I get rid of the carpenter bees?

First post after lurking in the forums for a while. Sorry if it gets long. Over the winter I built an arbor across two planter boxes. I hung a bug hotel on the side, but apparently didn't make an ideal carpenter bee house as one has made its own home in the arbor. I work as a landscaper and work along bees often, I am not worried about being stung, especially after reading how docile the carpenter bees are. My only concern is that I have read the carpenter bees will chase other bees away. Should I move my insect hotel? I is just over four feet from their burrow(hole? Nest?) I also had insect damage early in the season, but the damage has slowed with the coming of many paper wasps. Should I be worried that the carpenter bees will chase away the paper wasps from protecting my plants in the beds attached to the arbor?
