How long does it take a 1.5 quart pot to grow into a climber?

I ordered from Edmunds and managed to accidentally buy one of the very few roses shipped in a 1.5 quart pot. I just found it on the bottom of the box this morning. I thought they hadn't shipped it as I was expecting a bare root. Here is a tiny tiny little rose in lousy condition because I didn't look for it when uppacking a week ago. I wanted a big sturdy plant to be in bloom by next year. I could cry. It was my mistake but there are only 9 roses shipped in tiny pots in their entire catalog so it wasn't something I was looking for.

Do I bother with this pitiful little thing or give it to someone and go and find a nice rose at a nursery. I wanted the Jasmina, but I can live without it.

I also paid $24.95 for a very small sad looking Abraham Darby. :(
