The idiot who looks after the apt bldg across the street insists on using the snow blower when a quick shoveling will do. NO snow on the sidewalks, streets or parking lot, yet he's out at 6:30 this morning. There was some ice here and there, but he'd rather fire up the blower. I'm sure it's good for it!

I've been off work since last Wednesday finishing projects around the house. Spent this weekend cleaning all weekend (not just clean, but using the steam cleaner on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors kind of cleaning). I've been buying and preparing food. All that was left? To put the just cooked pie on the counter. sigh. At least there was time enough to make another before guests came. The pot holder sits where I threw it down.

Looks like the babies are good size so I think they must have lost 2 babies. That's unfortunate. We have a yellow crested night heron that built a nest way in the top of one of the giant pine trees in our front yard. We have been watching and the babies are getting very big for the nest. I think we will see them learning to fly soon.

Yes, I am allergic to some flowers. For instance, I will NEVER have mums in my yard, and any flowers sent to me, that have mums aren't allowed in my house. :(
