Maybe getting a new greenhouse/high tunnel
Comments (9)I went and looked at it and I decided to buy it pretty much on the spot. It is in great shape. All the baseboards are in good condition, the endwalls are in good shape and come with it. The only issue I have is I will have to cut the posts off at the concrete, but I knew that coming into it. I am planning on either buying new ground posts or come up with another way to secure it to the ground. It has been sitting up on a rock base with drainage away. The owner use to raise flowers for sale in the spring. Now all I have to do is move it. it doesn't look to be too hard of a job. All the posts slip together, but we will see after we start on the first one! The vent covers don't come with it. I am excited! Jay...See MoreBlue Painters Tape - How do I get it off?
Comments (3)dvarnell, what kind of painter's tape did you use? Do you know the number on the tape. A decorative painter's tape with low tack and something I use on a regular basis is 3m-2080. Some of the other sizes will or can leave a residue of break down on your walls. I don't or haven't ever had a problem out of the one I use. So , is it really tacky, sticky residue, or is it the acutal tape itself on the wall? JMHO, I definitely would not use the magic eraser. You will sure mess up your great work. It really doesn't get stuck in the paint, unless some things like maybe the roller edges or edgers, what ever was used may have been used with a little heavier pressure, more distributed right near the edge lines of the tape, air blowing or uneven temperatures directly related to the areas you are talking about. So , first of all, is it a sticky like tacky feel on the wall, or is it still some tape on the wall?...See MoreNeed help with mirror in bathroom and maybe a backsplash?
Comments (8)akl, not really. I bought a frame online that was the same color stain as my vanity. I decided not to use it because the wood pattern repeat was obvious on a large frame. It's been hanging on the wall of my garage ever since. At the time, opinions on GW tended to lean in favor of a framed mirror. I bought into it, esp. since I'd had a builder's grade unbevelled mirror held in place with cheap plastic brackets and thought it was too ugly a design choice for my new bathroom. I'm not anti-frame, but I'm pro big mirrors and light. I think it's a cleaner look. That being said, I'm in no rush to replace the framed mirror I ended up buying. One becomes used to things. :)...See MoreHelp! How to safely remove lacquer spray from marble?
Comments (8)laurenjean and paintguy- It''s true that lacquer thinner is a powerful solvent, but 1: If the marble is sealed, all the overspray should be on top of the sealer and the razor blade should remove all of it overspray, making a wipe with lacquer thinner unnecessary. 2. If there is no sealer, a wipe with lacquer thinner shouldn't hurt marble. (Marble is typically damaged by acid compounds, like lemon juice, or alkalis, like drain cleaner. If one has concerns, you could test the thinner on a marble scrap or a small unnoticeable area. However, if it's real marble, and not some man-made composite, there should not be an issue.) 3, Sealer can be reapplied in any case...it's not like trying to match a stain....See Morefeddup
