Question About Changing Kitchen Faucet/Holes On Granite
Comments (6)Thanks for the suggestions. It never occured to me to look for a different one hole faucet I like; but that sounds like the most straightforward way to accomplish my goal. No drilling involved. BTW - if anyone is still reading this post.... I did just finish a mid-range kitchen remodel last year .... ALL WITH INSPIRATION AND DIRECTION FROM THIS KITCHEN BOARD, AND THE "FINISHED KITCHEN" SITE. It would NEVER have turned out as beautifully as it did without all your help!! Even tho I didn't actually "post" during my remodel, I did read and read, and looked at everything here! Now I'm moving.... but the new house has a beautiful remodeled kitchen, too -- just not "mine". (African Mahogany Cabinets -- whatever kind of wood that is! Ha!) I give it 3 years...... (chuckle).... Miss Mary...See MoreQuestion about kitchen faucets
Comments (4)The height of the faucet should have very little impact on flow rates. the slightly greater restriction caused by a longer faucet path should have minimal impact. Much more likely it is a function of the flow limiter. As you know, faucets are regulated by law to 2.2 gpm flow rates by a restrictor. I suspect there is a signficant amount of variation from model to model and perhaps even faucet to faucet in how restrictive the flow limiting device is. Other issue is to make sure that if there is a pressure limiter on the water supply line that it's not set too low, resulting in low pressure throughout the house. Suspect it will be hard to predict how good the flow is ahead of time....See MoreDifference between "classroom" faucet and a kitchen faucet?
Comments (5)I not only don't think it is important to have the spout over the drain, I would tend to avoid it for reasons of clearance. When setting large pots and pans in the sink I want a spout that is set back somewhat and doesn't have to be swiveled out of the way, particularly if I have filled up a large pot with water and want to lift it back out again....See MoreBar faucet vs kitchen faucet question
Comments (0)Currently have a blanco sonoma kitchen faucet which have to replace. the Atura bar faucet appears more similar in specs to the sonoma kitchen faucet than the Atura kitchen faucet. I have a small kitchen and cabinets above so wondering bar faucet is a better choice in this instance? do have concerns about length of spray nozzle, differences in water pressure.. Welcome thoughts, advice. Thanks!...See Morekathy6421
