Need help on chandy sizes

We are building a new home and I have lots of questions, but here are 2 for starters:

  1. My dining room table is oval, 57" long x 44" wide w/out leaves. I have 2 leaves, use one a lot, 2 only on holidays. Would a 17" or 25" width pendant light be better? I presently have a 25" chandy over this table which I am replacing, but since I like a particular pendant that comes in 17" diameter 33" high and also 25" wide 35 high I would love some opinions. I think the 17" may look too small.
  2. I am going to put a chandy over my kitchen island as it is the focal point of this great room/kitchen/dining very open area. I'm looking at a simple 6 arm very traditional candelabra chandy 25" wide. No glitz or crystals on this chandy. Will this be fine on a 60" island?
  3. Not a question, but we have 10' ceilings which I think enters into the size decisions.

Thanks for any help!
