Do you own a Speed Queen Washer or Dryer?
Comments (1)We have owned the Speed Queen AWN432 for one year. No problems so far, washes great, little vibration, but not the quietest. We have not had to call for service....See More2015 "electronic" Speed Queen dryer?
Comments (11)Interesting Ken. The specs for this say the cylinder is "commercial steel." I don't know what that is. It actually looks aluminum-color inside. And the only other thing I see in the manual says this: Wipe the surfaces using a soft cloth and household cleaner or a non-abrasive paste of powdered laundry detergent and hot water, followed by a short heat cycle with a load of rags. To remove crayon or ball point ink off the dryer drum, put the heat on high and use old rags in the dryer to absorb the crayon or ink. If unsuccessful, contact the appliance dealer. DO NOT use any chemicals in the dryer. IMPORTANT: The use of chlorine bleach for removing any discolorations should be avoided because bleach could damage the finish. Guess it isn't stainless after all. But I do love it so far!...See MoreBrand New Speed Queen washer + dryer
Comments (8)Speed Queen operates through a network of independent dealers. Your experience will depend on your location and your dealer. If you are dissatisfied with the dealer or service where you purchased your machines, you may have some leeway in getting service from another dealer if you have several in your area. If you have problems with the dealer, you may have some other recourse through your state's consumer protection laws. Those laws vary quite a bit . Since your dealer sent a technician so quickly, you may have no problems at all and they will just swap out the defective machine. From what you said, yours is not repairable. Dryers are pretty simple, if the drum is bad at the outset, get a new machine. My local dealer is very responsive. I've bought other appliances from them in addition to the SQ rather than a Big Box store. With the upcoming holiday, you might have to wait a bit, but it should work out. Good Luck....See MoreShould My Dryer Be Installed B4 My Speed Queen Washer?
Comments (3)It's a lot easier to install the dryer first so you have room to get back there to attach the venting. Otherwise, if you install the dryer at a later date, you'll probably have to move the SQ out of the way (esp. in your closet situation) and the SQ is a heavy beast...plus deal with the water hoses and drain hose on the washer....See MoreUser
