E-mail the company! They will either tell you where they shipped it to in your area, or possible even send or sell you some directly. I have complained to one of the yarn companies, can't remember which one, when my mother had a problem with a major differnce in yarn thickness in their line of yarn. They sent her, free, enough of all the yarn she had already purchased, to make another afghan!!! I used to have the phone numbers of the different companies. We have friends who are both disabled. He is in a wheel chair from MS and she is blind from a child hood accident. She knits beautifully! They had a hard time purchasing yarn. Where they could get yarn locally, either had a small supply, or he had a hard time even getting thru the isles with his wheelchair. She found that she liked the Dazzle yarn best. I can't remember who made it & don't even know if it's still made. Somewhere, they got a number for the company. They ordered directly quite often, and shared the number with me. They are very independant people and would seldom ask for help. They knew I would gladly buy all the yarn she wanted and deliver it, but wouldn't let me. Good luck in your search. Tami

Look at the Halo website. That particular "can" may be used with several different trims. If you click on the trims, you will see the maximum wattage that can be used with each trim. The "ice light" and the "metal baffle" can be used with 60 Watt PAR 16 bulbs. The "coilex" can be used with 50 Watt PAR 20 bulbs. I think that the PAR bulbs seem to give out more actual light than the regular bulbs. You can also buy a "socket extension". One end screws to the lightbulb and the other end then screws into the can. That will make the bulb less recessed (but it will also glare more). I hope that between the 50 or 60 watt PAR light bulbs and/or the extensions, you can solve your problem. Good luck!

I'm also in MA and used to have inkberry (at a former home) with those exact problems. I even considered boxwood first, but it has its own set of issues and is more expensive. I didn't solve the problem--I moved to a new house instead!--so take this with a grain of salt. Yours don't look too bad to me. I think the yellow leaves are just part of the ordinary leaf-drop cycle and not a disease. The black spots are likely a common fungus. As far as the fungus goes, I would personally just clean up fallen leaves and wait to see if it gets worse, because I don't like to bother with fungicides or chemicals. Make sure they're getting enough water, preferably at the base rather than on the leaves, which can make the fungus worse. As for the bare insides, If you google "inkberry leggy" you'll find a lot of pruning advice. I'd suggest trying the pruning suggestions--not now, but maybe in March just before they start to grow in spring--and see if that helps. Next year they'll either look a little better, and you'll be happy, or a little worse, and you can pull them out and start with something new.
