Need advice on how to terminate crown molding

There is a funny little nook in our bathroom that I want to fill with a tall cabinet that goes to the ceiling. I'm having trouble visualizing this, and am not sure how to trim this out so it doesn't look weird. The drawing below is crude, but hopefully enough to convey the situation. Cabinet location is shown in cyan, approx 24W x 12D

I want to put crown molding around the top of the cabinet, to match the other cabinets in the bathroom. But the back edge on the left side is flush with the wall. Should I:

1. Do a dead-end return to the back edge of the cabinet. (crown does not touch wall).

2. Do a dead-end return so it terminates on the wall just behind the cabinet.

3. Get a narrower cabinet so the crown terminates at the back wall?

4. Other ideas?
