My cats love to watch out windows. Molly thinks the bathroom window is her own private bird-viewing platform, and she wants it open in all weather. (You can probably guess that winter is her least favorite season, because that window stays CLOSED most of the time, lol.) B.C. likes windows, but doesn't want to be outside. If he DOES get out (and a door closes behind him), he cries until he gets back into the house. I think Sophia would be happy to be outside, but she doesn't try to get out. When the weather is nice I let them out on the tiny back deck and stairs, and I sit with them so they don't wander. I'm sure if any mouse was foolish enough to get into the house, it wouldn't last long. We don't have a problem with many critters, but I've thought that a dog might help with the woodchuck issue we've had in the past. Our neighbor's outdoor cat occasionally leaves us a mole as a gift. Hi Bill, I missed this one too. Lets make a plan to have a "reunion" at Silvia's next shindig, think you could get Michael to come along? Silvia, I try and try, but I never manage to have tomatoes ripe at this time of year--especially not the big ones. Mine just won't set fruit until temps drop (which here was not long ago) Since I'm Zone 10 and my garden is only EIGHT feet from a lake I'm quite challenged with bloom set due heat AND humidity, so for large fruit I'd recommend Beefmaster, and my new "best friend" variety from Lou/Silvia - Monomakh's Hat, a Russian oxheart that has set just as well as Beefmaster under extremely harsh conditions and also has that wonderful old-world tomato taste.... Uh, Cheryl, I have iris (Hello, my name is Sylvia, & I have iris.) I have an extra Well-Endowed (chrome yellow ruffled re-bloomer), some Anxious (smoky lavender ruffled re-bloomer), Crimson King (very early/re-bloomer, historic dark red-purple), "backhoe" iris (photo on Part Deux), yet another rescue that I ain't even told y'all about, I need to run by the place I got it & see if any have bloomed over there to see what the flowers look like, tons of historic yellows, at least one lavender/blue ruffled, & Cinnamon Girl. You can have one, some, or one or two of each. I'd love some acorn squash & another rose, Belinda's Dream if possible but it doesn't matter, so if Weldon wants it that's okay; I have tons of space here, & can put in a Belinda's Dream later (when Miss Venessa has time to root one for me, snork!). any of that tickle your fancy???
