What granite would you put with this tile??
Comments (19)Wow, Poohla, that is a beautiful inspiration photo. No doubt about it, Travertine is a popular choice for bathrooms and showers. I think you can still have that kind of look with what you already have in place, our new shower is 5 x 4 and we used 12x12 tiles in slate, which helps to keep it from looking real busy. I know you said you don't necessarily want to stain the cabinet, but I think if you painted it, it would help you to accomplish the look you're after together. Off white would be beautiful with that sink and verde granite. I realize that ORB fixtures are the in thing right now but I honestly don't think that finish will work well with the sink. The sink has silver in it so IMHO a brushed nickle or chrome fixture would work better. And also since Verde tends to be a darker granite, the lighter finish will help offer contrast. If you're going to use the oak cabinets, I would suggest you paint your walls a beautiful neutral cream or beige color which will work with all the elements you are considering. I have Raffia Cream (Behr) on 2 walls in my livingroom. I loved it so much I ended up putting it in the hallway as well. It compliments every color I've put with it so far and would work well with the oak cabinets & sink. You can bring in other colors through towels and accessories. I was going to post a picture of the color, but it looks very different on the site than it does in person. On my walls it has a very rich creamy look w/an ever so slight yellow in it to keep it warm. Behr's picture of it has pinkish tones and doesn't do it justice AT ALL. If you're interested, I can try to post a pic for you. I hope that helps. Good luck--Lukki...See MoreOpinions of woodlook tile and would you put it next to real wood?
Comments (2)I really don't see the appeal of the wood look ceramic tile, but it must be popular, because everybody is making it. Just me, but I wouldn't like to put it up against real wood.
