Divided Crinum Lily - Ants - Help

I was given a massive bundle of red crinum lilies. They had not been separated
in years and they were completely full of ants. I used the water hose and
got them separated into about 12-15 bulbs. By the time I got them separated I
was eaten up with ant bites, so I left them in a wheelbarrow overnight. I hope
the rest of the ants, I could not get washed off, are gone by the time I get home
tonight. Will they be okay since I separated them using water? I was careful
when I pulled them apart and plan to get them all in the ground tonight. If the
ants are still all over them can I use ant poison on them or will it kill them?
I live in zone 8, East Texas by Tyler. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
