"Your Best Tomatoes

I haven't had a successful tomato crop since I moved to this house 15 years ago. I've tried several times and last time I swore I was just going to give it up and devote myself to flowers. But this year, I have an inkling to try again. Probably because homegrown tomatoes taste like actual tomatoes. The sources for good tomatoes are slim and pricey. So I'll try again.

I'm thinking that I probably need to do a raised bed or container of some sort and not leave it to chance in my garden area. I bought this cool old rope-handled box at a garage sale last week that I thought might work. I might also like to try Smart Pots or other containers.

I'd love your suggestions for which tomato varieties to try and any tips and tricks to growing in containers or small raised bed.
