Finished master bath-- tub, blue and white
Comments (17)NaRo - i know it has been a few years but i am redoing my master bath and saw your thread because of the york tub we want to put in. I also want to do a corner shower very similar to what you have. Can you post or send me a picture of it to the ceiling and the measurements, including shower door width? Thank you! The master bath looks great!...See Moretub niche and pencil rail questions
Comments (6)First off, in reference to th niche, it depends on whether it's being built on site, of if the installer's using a prefab niche, as shown in the following pictures: If it's built on site, it needs to be framed out prior to cement boarding. If it's a prefab unit, as seen in the pics, it's installed afterward. As for the pencil rail and chair rail, those are decorative pieces that really aren't needed at all. They're strictly aestheic pieces. One thing you want to keep in mind-- if you're going to be using a glass enclosure in your shower, you want the wall to be completely flat where the glass will butt up to the walls....See MoreWife wants light over bath tub.
Comments (11)#1 - GFI protection is OPTIONAL for this light. It is NOT mandatory NO required. I never GFI protect shower cans. There is no reason for it. #2 - TRIM that is rated for use over a shower. The can is the same either way. #3 - If the ceiling is up, as yours obviously is, you would use an "old work" can that just cuts into the sheetrock and is held up by clips. Using a new work can with the bars is useless and WAY more work than you want to know....See MorePorcelanosa Old Natural textured 13x39 tile shower tub niche dilemma?
Comments (3)No, not yet I didn't order yet but they told only for the floor one would be 4 weeks. Do you consider it for a wet area? I'm still debating......See Moredekeoboe
