Very high quality over the shower door towel racks?
Comments (9)Look at Command Hooks. They are now making brushed nickel or chrome look, etc. in a few different styles. I wouldn't call them top quality, but they are fine looking and will hold a towel easily. You could put one on the wall nearest the entrance so you can reach out and grab your dry towel. Put it above eye level and it won't be noticeable at all. They won't damage the wall or tile/marble. If you have enough room in your shower, you could put one IN the shower out of reach of the spray. I've had two (to hold wet washcloths to dry before putting in the laundry) in my shower for about 3 years and they seem to do fine in the damp, even direct spray when cleaning the shower....See MoreMaster Bath Shower - Is it Big Enough?
Comments (18)Sorry, I'm a novice here and can't figure out how to upload pictures, but I'm attaching a link to photobucket. The plan that has the HUGE shower does not have an 'enclosed' toilet. There would be a half wall with decorative frosted glass above to form a translucent screen. I'm not sure this actually works because the toilet area is only 4'5 wide. The plan with the smallest shower is the plan we are working off of at the moment. The plan with the toilet room and shower bisecting the window (we would replace the window with two, one in each area) works best in plan but I'm not sure how I would like it when it was built, with a box-like cube off to the side... Thoughts? I will also post a link to a photo on hgtv.com that was our original inspiration. Thanks to all. Comments (24)Thanks to enduring's previous posts on this topic, I found The Rag Company. At that time I did not know which towel she had so I chose the PLATINUM PLUFFLE. They were out of stock, but Amazon (fulfilled by the Rag Co.) had a 2 pack of the 20 x 40 cloths. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this towel!!!!!! It is an amazing product and works so much better than any of the many types of microfiber cloths I have. I fold it in 1/2 (10 x 40), in 1/2 again (10x20) and one final fold gives me a very thick and managable 10 x 10 cloth. I have arthritis in my hands and this is comfortable and easy to use. It does my entire shower and the glass enclosure without wringing it out. I hang it to dry on my grab bar and it is dry by morning. Unfortunately, it is out of stock at the Rag Co. and I can't find it at Amazon now. The one that caligirl5 linked to looks similar to the Pluffle. The Pluffle is waffle weave and made in South Korea where they supposedly make the very best microfiber. You might want to keep checking with The Rag Company or Amazon in hopes they get more in stock. A great microfiber cloth can really make your life easier and put a smile on your face!...See MoreWhat thickness glass for my steam shower frameless glass surround?
Comments (12)Talked to my tile installer and he was able to provide this to me. This is a residential steam shower and not a continuous use shower (which is what you need the DS for). See below for KERDI info. I’m a structural engineer and ran a calculation on a 10.5 ft 1/2” panel and it worked fine. The 3/8” was not working - BUT we were very conservative with our assumption (assumed spanned full height and will actually be supported on 4 sides). Looking for others who have done something this tall...trying to avoid a much deeper structural analysis to prove it will work and get installed feed-back. What did you use? Thanks!...See Morerisforremodel
