Colorado is at Calgary tonight. Puck drops in about 5 minutes, so it will be hockey for us tonight. Too bad, because I enjoy DWTS. DH, on the other hand.............

I watched, only because of Robert Herjavec being a contestant. I thought he was an okay dancer, but way out of his element. His smiles were purely overdone, and dressed like a school boy from way back was not a good choice. Dancing is not what it used to be; take me back to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Now it is all just twist and shake and a lot of bare skin.

I hadn't watched it, but now that I've seen Robert Jerjavec, I think that grin is exactly how he feels. I don't think it's contrived. His outfit was for the music's theme. Makes sense. It's hard (and fun) to watch. If the rumors are true, I truly feel for his ex. I know he and Kim deny it, but it's obvious, he's come alive and wants to show the world he's happy. Could that be the bigger problem Sue? It is for me. And I'm happy he's happy. He looks like he could burst with glee any moment.

rob333, I don't know anything about his private life, I only know what I have seen on Shark Tank. A very mild natured, soft hearted, smart, intelligent man, who sometimes referred to his children; I don't recall that he ever mentioned his wife. I know the music and the outfit were correlated, and I found that choice demeaning. I can't imagine how the situation he is in (whatever that may be) could make him happy, but if it does, it does. You may well be right, and I have misjudged his character.

I agree, it is kind of disconcerting seeing him smile and laugh so much. Just a week ago he was suicidal, thinking of jumping off a balcony. His kids won't speak to him and he was having a heck of a time.

I saw a video made in 2011 with him and his wife being interviewed. She didn't say much, but of course he's comfortable in front of the camera. She's an optometrist.

I think he needs to cool it with the open-mouthed smile -- a fly is gonna fly in! I don't know if you've read the article in People about him, but for someone to rebound from depression and suicidal thoughts in just the 2 and a half weeks he spent helping needy street people, that's seems to be quite a speedy rebound, but maybe there were other tools at work there. The timing of the People article -- is it just his PR machine hitting full speed, or that of DWTS? I enjoy watching "Shark Tank," but now I'm just getting a weird feeling about him -- like he's irresistably drawn to being in the public eye in any way.

Now: Over to the broader show -- did any of you feel the dances were just a bit too short? Every time I thought a pair was really dancing beautifully, suddenly they stopped in some lovely position and they were done! And: Which celebrity dancer do you think ought to have been in the bottom this week? I would put Patti on the list. She's doing more strutting (and that bosom thing!) than dancing, IMHO.

Yes, it seems the dances were shorter, maybe because there are so many dancers right now. When it slims down it might get longer.

Maybe it's so that the not as good dancers might have a chance to build up endurance and with it shorter, a chance to get more right? I hope so. I've not watched in a couple of seasons. It's excruciating to watch those that will never be able to dance. I truly do admire that they're willing to try, though. It's more than I could do!
