Make sure that you have a way to upkeep the power to your camera and other devices. The residential electrical power varies greatly in the places you mentioned. except for the USA, most of those places uses 50 hz, the US is 60hz. You will need a charger that is compatible with the power source of the country you are in, or use disposable batteries. The voltage of most disposable cells in the US is nominally 1.5 volts. However, many newer camera use Lithium-ion batteries that have a much higher voltage. I don't know if there are disposable cells made in these higher voltages. In this case, one alternative is to carry multiple sets of charged up rechargeable cells, and re-charge any time you get the opportunity. It would be a shame to be at a world heritage site with a dead camera. Naturally, when you are on the cruise ship, that power source will be constant, but do check to see what it is. Do not assume it is the same as state-side power. So click the camera all day and recharge when you return to the ship. When you leave the ship for a day, go with several sets of freshly charged batteries. Below is data from a 1967 booklet. Thanks Country Bumpkin, keep the prayers coming! I was thinking today that throughout this whole ordeal, and it's been months, Mom has NEVER uttered a negative word. Never complained about pain, being miserable, (and I cried when the nurse left the room trying to put the PIC line in.....an intervenous feeding line, and she had to stop cause she found an obstruction. All Mom said was "what else can go wrong") That brought the tears down my face, seeing her with a half-inserted needle (among many iv tubes). Prior to this, I gotta tell you, she is not the most sunny side up, positive person. If it rains on a day when they go shopping, she'll say it "always" rains. But with this, she's as strong as they come. I asked her if she wanted to go ahead with the surgery and she does. Knowing the risk (possible death) she still wants to give it a shot. So that's mom.

I just got home 1/2 hour ago from seeing Mom. The last time I wrote, she had recovered from being in CCT, and in very critical shape, on life support. She's been back on the surgical floor, and is on a regular diet of food. She hasn't eaten for so long, her stomach is probably the size of a walnut, a few mouthfuls and she's full. I took her in a Smoothie last Sunday and she loved it! She's also had watermelon and cantaloupe and loves that as well. Once again, they figure she's in good enough shape that they want her to come to our local hospital. They frankly need the beds, and unless she's having surgery, there isn't much more they can do for her there. In one sense they're right, for sure, but the care she is getting is beyond wonderful. Remember the little fellow who pushed her bed to the window to watch the sunset? Well he's popping in all the time to see how she is, and just to talk to her. She's been there so long, they just pop in to visit. We laughed......one girl went in and said she would "ask the book of knowledge; she would know." So she asked mom if "Don" was working today. Mom said, Yes, he was off yesterday, so he'll be in today. Sure enough, when the shift started, there was "Don". The girl who asked, said that she Knew Mom would know. LOL Anyway, she's improving (except today was a bad day). So every day is not like the next; there are still hills and valleys. Even when she comes to our hospital, her Dr. where she is now, is the one calling the shots, and she'll be sent back, if something were to go wrong again. He's made that perfectly clear, and reiterated that today when he came in. Just the matter of waiting on a bed. Oh, my step-father was there today as well, and the two of them gave me my birthday gift early. ( a new laptop, cause mine is on it's last legs). I cried.
