Signs of Spring

last modified: 9 years ago

I might be getting a little eager, but as a newbie gardening, am so happy to see when things have made it over the winter. Anyone else have more signs of spring?

Here are some photos from today from my south sheltered bed. Red stonecrop:

I'm happy this one worked out, it is a little lilac seedling I dug up in
the fall. I dumped it in a pot and it sat above ground, covered mostly
in snow for the winter:

I'm really excited about these little leaves. It's a compact cranesbill, I was pretty rough on the roots, and it was transplanted very late, but it's made it so far!

A green leaf on rosa Emily Carr! Most of the branches are in pretty good shape too

Some more sedums & stonecrops

Angelina rupestre. I planted 10 smalls pots of cuttings of this, they all did not made it as they quickly got infested with aphids, then I let them dry out in the sun room. But the mother plant I put in the ground, and it made it, what lovely golden colours
