Last week I found this guy in a bag of buttons I bought from a thrift shop. He's about an inch tall.

Prairie Rose, I have one other antler, so I guess I am starting a collection? LOL I'm not very artistic, so I will just be keeping them in their natural state. :) Marcia, here is a weird looking bird I saw at the San Diego Zoo a few years ago. Our pink trumpet tree (Tabebuia) is putting on its spring show now. The related yellow is, too, but because they don't play well together color-wise, they are kept separated by a house. :) [The photo below was only cropped, not enhanced, or otherwise 'shopped in any way--those vibrant colors were the real deal!]

WOW, alisande!! where are you... we are in PA outside of Philly and we really lucked out., only about 6 inches...expected 8-12.,so i am pleased!! your photo looks fake, so pretty!!last week at the suet feeder... he chirps so loud and scares all the little birds away!! but good thing is, he's messy and drops a lot so the little ones get the crumbs!!

Casey is today a Provincial holiday for you?

Last nite our neighbour below us had blown some fuses and she didn't have any, so I gave her some. She couldn't get them to work so the landlady came over.

Coming home today there was something hanging from our doorknob, and it was a little "gift". The 2 fuses returned along with a St Patrick's hand towel.

How cute, and may I say unnecessary? I immediately went down and thanked her of course!

Apparently I've used up far more space than I'm allowed so I'll post the pics in a follow-up

Now I'm ticked. When I try to upload 2 pictures, in individual posts it tells me that I have too many characters in my post. I'm allowed x number of characters and I have 267,999 grrrr. You'll have to imagine my little towel.

In the old Garden Web (GW), there was a limit of 60 Kb on picture size. During the final days of GW, they had installed an automatic 'compression routine' to compress a photo if it exceeded the limit (very convenient). Also, one could not post more than one image per message.

When you see all those beautiful, full of detail and multiple images in other posts, those are accomplished a different way. The posted message contains only "links" (URLs) to the photos, and not the photo itself. The photo is stored on a file sharing service such as Flicker and the link is the internet address to those images. In addition, the permission (security) of the stored photo must be set to allow it to be viewed by others.

I have not tried to post an image in Houzz, therefore, I do not know what difficulty I might experience. I do not have any accounts on a photo sharing service.

This is my little bit of green. It was Carmelita's first trip to the groomer when she was about 10 weeks old, I believe. Hard to believe that sweet little baby is going to be 5 years old in a couple of months!
