Annie, I hope that isn't your home!

Here in W. PA we were forecast to get 4 to 6 inches of snow overnight. Not one flake showed up! I am not complaining! Just goes to show you, weather forecasting is not am exact science.

Neither is puzzle making. After putting together a very poor quality puzzle by Springbok, this next one, also by Springbok, is very good quality.

No, thank goodness, PK. It was from a few years ago during one of our halloween storms. We know the gals whose house it was. They've since rebuilt a lovely new home on the same spot. Fortunately no one was home when the tree came down. The house was so adorable, but it was in rough shape, so actually it was a blessing in disguise for them.

I measured 16" at 9 a.m., and blizzard conditions will stay through 8 p.m.

We didn't get much at all but I saw Pennsylvania on the news this morning and it was at least 20" and still snowing!! I am happy to see that isn't you guys, at least not yet!

Here is a visitor from last night.

This tree broke off from it's trunk while we were on vacation in January and snapped the power lines. The trunk is still standing and is about 25 feet tall; it will have to come down too. There is a lot of firewood in that tree, but we haven't have time to cut it up yet. I was sorry to see it go as it was a really nice tree.

Annie, your photo shows just how much damage a tree can do when it falls. My goodness!

Our town's only volunteer firefighter death was to a falling tree...they were out responding to a fire alarm during the height of a very bad storm. It was very sad. So yeah, falling trees can do major damage.

WOW, alisande!! where are you... we are in PA outside of Philly and we really lucked out., only about 6 inches...expected 8-12.,so i am pleased!! your photo looks fake, so pretty!!

I'm in Northeast PA. I think we ended up with about 30", but the wind is picking up and there's more snow in the forecast for tonight. Here's my favorite Adirondack chair. :-)
