Comments (24)Cali-That was "freak" who had no duplicates. I keep a few back-ups for my hedges but try to pass on my duplicates. I still have many whites and seedlings which will soon go to make room for the growing two year olds. Liquinox is a very good product. I am a bit lazy in my approach and just stocked up for March. The promix is a professional quality growing mix that I mix with the white bags of pumice. I start with the sulpomag which is sulphur, potassium and magnesium and wakes up the plants. Two weeks later I spread a couple of ounces of Dr. Earth with a layer of Organic worm castings and water this. Six weeks later I will give the 6-20-20 every 6 weeks until September when I give the plants sulfur of potash to strengthen for winter. I throw in some foliar feedings of Spray N grow and add Seaweed extract when I water. I buy my products from Chris Roy at Orange County Farm Supply in Orange Cal. This is what works for me and I have happy, healthy plants. I used to give weekly water soluble feedings but this is about as effective and less labor and it is not so harsh on the soil microorganisms. I can tell you that your plants will respond really well to your liquinox as it is a superb product. I do not have injectors and I want to get away from the labor with so many plants so I use the pellets. Bill...See MoreRaven, I need your help!
Comments (11)Hey, I'm back! I did what you suggested Owbist, took the side off and dusted real good. Put it back together, turned if on and to my surprize I even got the welcoming sound. I may not have had my seaker on the other day. I got the HP splash the Windows thing and this time I even saw the log in screen and then nothing. So on just a hunch, I disconnected my monitor and plugged in my number 2 monitor and voila....it works. So my ViewSonic must have pooped out on me. Why would it only show the few screens? Is there any way to repair it? It is a really nice 17 inch. If I need to start shopping does anyone have any recommendations? Circuit City, Buy.com??? What kind? I really wish I could get this one fixed though if possible. This number 2 screen is an old fat Dell of my hubby's. I use it on the second PC for the grandkids....See MoreHey, Raven, What's your favorite tablet?
Comments (17)sure EmmaR you can use it for what ever you want and on an android tablet you can add multiple types of reader apps so you can read any type of book format you want, including the kindle books using the kindle app. I guess I want a 10" because I don't have one LOL I really like the little bit bigger size I get with my 8" Vizio so if it was light weight enough I think I would like the bigger screen size. Especially with my eyesight. I know it is hard for me to go back to my 7" tablet when I have been using the 8" alot. It is great however that we can adjust the font for our seasoned eyes LOL My husband is always touching the touchscreen when he shouldn't be and then it reacts and he gets all huffy at it LOL he will be sitting there telling it no no no I did not tell you to go to some other page, well yes you did you just stuck your finger on a link!! I have my recliner right beside his and I can not tell you how many times he is shoving it over to me to "fix" it when all he needs to do is hit the go back button. I need more patience Lord please! This is why I got him the readers that do NOT have a touch screen! I offered to upgrade him to my 7" but he said does it have that darn touch screen(yep) so we know the answer to that one! NO. I have no problems what so ever with any of the touch screens. Now going from the resistive to the multi touch is a learning experience. I do always do the calibration settings test as soon as I get any new tablet to get it set to my touch....See MoreHey Mcpeg-How is everyone doing by now?
Comments (7)Hi Sue, thank you for asking how we're doing. Saw Mom last Thursday, stayed an hour and spent the entire time on the phone with various gov't departments changing contact details (needed to do with my Mom). Decided I will do what I can when I visit for her but make sure once the administrative stuff is done, I will spend the time 'visiting' with her. Next visit a little more admin stuff and I am going to cut her hair for her (I can do this). I'm a little scare getting a stranger to come to the house when she is alone to do this. Overall, Mom looks happy, enjoys her grandsons, walking a little more than she did here and she is also enjoying sitting at a family table for her meals. It appears this whole situation is going to work out for now. Added benefit - no carpeting - her breathing is improving (COPD). Back at home, I'm feeling relaxed, not jumping up everytime my Mom moved. Enjoying the peace. Slowly working on a corner at a time purging junk, sorting stuff and trying to clear out so I can feel better at home. Too much clutter. Her bedroom is still full with her furniture and I'm leaving that for now. Starting planting flower seeds and have them under my new 'used' grow light stand, planning my landscaping projects this summer (continuation from last summer). Ordered some gardening books - carrots love tomatoes / the new square foot gardening / how to grow more vegetables. It's better than prozac! Working on maintaining regular hours, a routine. Thinking about temping again but not pushing it. Saw my doctor last week after burning off yet more steam and she said it may take a couple of weeks to get into my own routine. One day at a time. I'm working on it. Trying to look ahead at positive actions instead of dwelling on irritations that I have no control over. That's it at the moment. Not firing on all pistons yet. Do a bit, sit a bit. Cheers Sue, Hoping to return more often and yak, I'm getting side tracked with the house right now. Peggy...See Morelucillle
