Has anyone seen Double Pink Knock Out in the nurseries yet?
Comments (9)I actually have Double Pink Knockout. I got it from White Flower Farm this spring. I like it very much! It is very pretty, prettier than regular D Knockout in my opinion. Its not, perhaps, as great as the original single Knockout - its not the same kind of non-stop bloom machine (but then of course, my plant is young, and this is just its first year). The color is very bringht, good in hot sun. No disease problems or anything like that. I do have it planted in a sort of difficult spot (pretty bad, dry soil and roasting sun for most of the day) and it seems to be holding its own quite well....See MoreSOS: matte or glossy cabinets for kitchen and dining?
Comments (10)@robotropolis, my thoughts exactly, and why I've asked for help! I prefer the gloss, too, but worry it may be too imposing rather than an elegant artistic piece/look. I worry if it's too much I may regret it...but I much prefer the high-end gloss look. It would also allow my to use a matte option on counters. @gooster, I will definitely look into your suggestions, thanks much! Not sure I can find jet mist here in Italy, it seems choices of granite are limited to absolute black or those with more white flecks, which I don't like much. I love calacatta but not sure it will provide enough contrast and I've read the quartz tends to fade and the space will have a lot of direct sun. I need to make the choice for cabs and it's agonizing! the architects prefer matte but my female friends all prefer the gloss. I wouldn't have any doubts if it weren't for the fact that there are so many cabinets. It's a risk; it might perhaps give the middle area something special -- a bit more artsy and elegant -- on the other hand it could end up an eye sore if it's too imposing....See MoreI bought matte subway tiles...should I have gotten glossy
Comments (25)I am SO glad...the backsplash is the one decision we didn't consult with our designer on, as we couldn't afford it until we paid off some of our other kitchen expenses. I couldn't justify taking a loan as I've never done that...everything in our kitchen we've pretty much tried to pay off right away. That's how we've always been. Thank you so much for the wonderful comments, and I will post pics once are cabinets are up so you can all admire them along with us!!! I am so relieved, was starting to worry that I made a big goof, and am excited that you are all on this ride with hubby and I. I think this will be the last of my backsplash posts...because my wonderful MATTEAnn Sacks Heath ceramic tile will be coming in the mail in a few weeks!!!...See MoreGlossy or matte wood look tile for main floor?
Comments (26)Yes, that 3rd one is the Barbary Tilebar has it. Comes in the soft white too: https://www.tilebar.com/barberry-decor-mandorla-24x24-matte-porcelain-tile.html and most those others I've posted are from tilebar. have you checked out their site? you get 5 samples for $5. Look under 'large format' for flooring. since you like the grays, do you like this chevron porcelain wood look? If you don't like the chevron, it comes in an 8x48 tile too: Kenridge But, I kind of like it in the warmer maple tone too. comes in this design. great for the bathroom. I like these warmer tones because grays and whites can look too cold and too sterile. So doing something in the warmer wood tones gives it a little depth. Kenridge Ribbon Maple 24x48 I like the first flooring pic you posted but don't you think that room looks really gray? don't know what your decor ideas are going to be, but I'm guessing you like a bit more modern looking? look at this white/gray tile. it's very cool looking. a soft sculpt look https://www.tilebar.com/sculpt-chevron-white-24x48-natural-porcelain-tile.html They even have the terrazzo. I'd do those for the bathroom! they even come in a porcelain that looks like terrazzo. this is from my tile place. I like that white terrazzo tile paired w/this Tilebar Klondike Yukon plank tile. It's 16x48"! so, minimal grout lines. I'd love these last two tiles for a bathroom. maybe the black and white terrazzo just for some more contrast...See MoreUser
