For awhile now, I've been seeing the artifacts of the are you sure you want to leave this page box popping up in the wrong places. Today, it popped up in the right one, where the non-margined link area meets the tab bar, and I almost lost my message looking up a spelling, but got to say "no". Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!

Three cheers! And if it continues to pop up after the message has been posted, I don't mind at all. I'd rather have to push an extra button than lose my message!

What a lovely little gift to open (or not!) at the end of the day.

I'm glad you like it, it drives me crazy.

If I didn't want to leave the page, I wouldn't have clicked on a link that allowed me to leave the page.

Micki - your excitement is so contagious! Makes me feel like a first time WSer all over again! I bet you folks WS sunflowers too. And ANNUALS, those too right? Yes, on both counts. I don't normally grow sunflowers, but lots of folks do. Annuals? For the more tender annuals, you'll want to wait until very late winter - early spring for those. Others can be sown earlier. Don't know what a SASBE is yet but think it has something to do with what seeds I'd like to have. Hehe - yup, it's got something to do with the seeds you want. SASBE = Self-addressed, Stamped, Bubble Envelope. You put postage in the envelope, and a mailing lebel with your address, then send it off to the member who is offering the free seeds. Then you haunt the mailbox till the enveolpe comes back with it's precious cargo. PV whatever your first tomato is there it looks meaty, juicy and delicous, That first tomato is "German Striped". Good tasting. how do I find members names, Duane is going to send me seeds but I have to research how I see his seed trade page. next to the name on each person's post is a link that says "My Page" - click that and it will take you to the particular member's page - trade lists, email addresses , etc. Welcome to winter sowing! I'm not sure what the cyber tea cups are, but they seem to have a negatative connotation when mentioned, so perhaps I am best not knowing. Hi Kirkhall -- I think your questions were mostly answered. The related forums links and color change are all things I have on a list. The FAQs are another project that we'll be looking at once the dust settles. If there was something that wasn't answered or you have other concerns, don't hesitate to post here or you are always welcome to contact me directly. My top issue right now is for the font to be a bit darker so that it's easier to read. I have set a bookmark on my computer so that I can go directly to the Home Decorating forum, and I am thinking that we could use the "Home" button to get back to the top of the current discussion, or the "Back" button to return to the home page of the forum. But links on the discussion page would also be helpful. Daisy, thank you for starting this thread and Houzz, thank you for listening.

Yes, but the top edge of the links is undefined or something, and runs into the frame, thereby causing everything one has written to disappear. Even worse are when some mysterious group of keystrokes from some blasted browser update take one away from the page without even going near a button or link!

When it's finished, it should only do it when you click from a page where you've written but not posted, which, unless you're often writing messages you dump out of, shouldn't be annoying. The bugs may not be out--yesterday it was still inquiring after submission, which I think is a timing thing between when the post is registered locally vs. globally, but I'm confident they'll get it right in the end.

I just wanted to offer some enthusiasm and encouragement for them trying to fix one of the most annoying and discouraging things about the new format.. Please bear with them until they get it right!

It does. It also happens (though I noticed it in Appliances, I don't think the forum should make a difference) when one edits a message. I think there's more to it than just editing. And perhaps it happens after looking at another tab or sometime. I haven't really tested it to find out what makes it happen, but it does come up at other times than when you have something unposted in the message box. (I think it also does it when you click in the message box but don't write anything, or something like that, but that would consistent with what it's supposed to do, which is preserve unposted messages.)

BTW, I just saw the new and improved bold, which is noticeably bolder. Thanks!

I really appreciate everything the staff and programmers are doing to make this place more comfortable.

Well, it happened to me today, over at the Kitchen Table forum. No knowing why it came up, I stayed on the page and looked, but could not find a reason to stay.

After I did leave, I realized, there where more replies to the post I had just posted on.

So, maybe it is wrong to pop up.... but it really wasn't a big deal.
