Serve? Oh heck no! I absolutely detest people helping in my kitchen and Julia would be the sole exception. I wouldn't have time to serve her. She would be coming over during our growing season. I would spend my day driving hither and yon visiting local farms and getting the best fruits and vegetables. I would drive to one of the few old style butchers we have and maybe go out to the wharf for the fresh catch of the day.

Julia and I would cook together. We would chat and laugh a lot and make a huge mess. Then we'd sit down on the patio to dine al fresco.

For Julia I'd serve wine, a beautiful salad (greens & fruit type), wine, perhaps something with eggs (omelettes are always nice, or a quiche), and more wine. Something chocolate for dessert. :)

I make the very best Beef Stroganoff ever, probably would have to be that!

Coq au vin. My mom's recipe is so good and I always used to ask for it for my birthday.
