I also prefer A -- pretty strongly prefer it. As someone else said above, it's a more simple choice, and simple is usually your best option. B looks kind of "odd" with its stair step look -- kind of too many cooks in the kitchen.

A couple of things. How many shower heads will you have? If you don't plan on 2 people taking showers at the same time, I think you could go 5' long on the shower and have that wall line up, with the toilet wall. I don't know if that is important to you. I have a 5' long shower and it is plenty long for showering. I am glad I didn't go bigger because there would have been more to wipe down. I like the window in the toilet room, because it adds a view. I wished there was an entry into the closet from the bathroom, so I would be able to access my clothing/dressing room following my shower. Otherwise I see you have to go into the bedroom and into the entry hall to access the closet. Not too big a deal, unless the bedroom/hall doorway is open. No plumbing in the exterior walls. In Montana it may be against code. I don't know how thick a wall would need to be to accommodate enough insulation to allow plumbing in the walls. Kitchen: I know this isn't part of your question, but have you posted over on the kitchen forum yet? I see 2 things from your plan that might be a problem. The first is the frig next to the cook top. There is a phrase over there that help people understand the layout of a kitchen. It goes, "ice, water, stone, fire". So this means that the ice (refrigerator) wouldn't be next to the fire (cook top). So Refrigerator (ice), sink (water), counter top for prep (stone), then the cooking area (fire), is the order for most efficiency in the kitchen. The second thing, is the pantry. I'd prefer that the pantry opened into the kitchen. But I wouldn't want it hard to access from the car either, for unloading groceries.

Wow, these are some really great ideas!! @ssdarb I want to try to limit the scope to not moving any walls but your plan looks really great. I want to see if I can square off the closet similar to @Karenseb and sort of combine both of your designs together. The only thing is I am not certain how I feel about seeing the toilet facing me when I walk in and I am not sure if 5"x3" will feel claustrophobic? @Debbi Washburn I also thought about the layout with the tub rotated but still separated from the shower but thought the tub area looks a little cramped. I didn't want to have the tub inside the shower due to additional cleaning of the tub from water splashes since the distance for my shower head to the tub won't be that far (you can probably tell I am the one to clean the bathrooms in the house :P ) @pamal66 I plan to get a free standing tub so that I won't need the surround. It looks like I might be able to do that but the tub edge will be very close to the glass. I am just not sure if I will loose inches due to switching those tiles to quartz shower surrounding. @ssdarb That layout looks cool but I am afraid the glass might be a safety concern for my toddler. This is a good step towards better. - I like that you have the option of going into the closet from the bathroom, but you can also enter without walking the length of the bathroom. - Like two other posters, though, I'd get the toilet out of the closet. This one even has a clip out of the corner, so it'll be worse than average. Just set it off with a pony wall. - The wet room concept for the shower /tub will work, but I wonder if a bit more space wouldn't be good. How will the window be waterproofed?
