Judy, Your cottage rose is beautiful, one of my favorite roses. I can look at your's until mine kicks in. And I do know what you mean about the names of things, I most of the time don't bother to even try and remember. I know Annabella because I just bought it and it is the name of a cat I once had and NH Purple well, because I live in NH. :) I had a nice visit with my Dad while in GA we didn't do much other than sit and visit. Warm felt good! I would love some help with my rock wall. It is about 10' long x 4' wide. It has sun all day after 10am. here it is the best I could get with help from my Granddaughter who lives with us, the love of my life and we are stuck at the hip, where I go she goes, and wouldn't have it any other way. Her name is Daisy. Here is another couple. and here is a lame looking map I made... The pink yarrow on the left is pretty and I like it until it flops over onto the rose. I tried the wire hoops last year but guess I don't know how to use them. The hoops floped over too. Think I need something else. The iris have been there a year and have never bloomed but I do like the look of them. I think I would like something tall towards the back to go with the mallow that will not flop. Don't want a bush or tree in that bed...I know it's overgrown with weeds all around it and will look better when I have the time to do some weeding, mulching and brush cutting. The silver solar lights are going to move elsewhere, my sone gave them to me for mother's day and just stuck them there. Any suggestions would be helpful. I would love to look at this bed and see it full so there is no room for weeds to grow and cover up the mulch which I realy don't like at all. THink I would like to see something trailing down over the front of it, and tucked into the gaps in the rocks. Last year I tried the wave petunias without much of an impact.
