Question about LinkedIn
Comments (10)I saw a Zuckerberg interview and he pretty much stated he thought the whole world should be open, the notion of privacy has changed, and that's where he wanted to go with Facebook. He didn't care whether users liked it or not. He has a dream. The link below might reference the one I saw, not sure. Looking around, it seems he wants it all kind of open source, where other companies can access FB data and do stuff with it. One article listing FB updates says Yelp could show you whether your friends were online and what they had reviewed there. I've heard this type of broadcast activity before. Years ago, something went on with them accessing your email address book and sending stuff out. No doubt they are collecting information on everywhere you go. Here is a link that might be useful: Facebook Disregard for Privacy...See MoreAnyone here subscribe to 'Angels on Earth' magazine?
Comments (2)I have gotten it for years and then my subscription lapsed. Darn just when there is something exciting happening. Congrats on your story being put in there. It is a wonderful little magazine. Helen...See MoreWhat magazines do you subscribe to or read regularly
Comments (41)In the past, I was a real magazine junkie. But over the past few years, I have really cut back. My daughter enjoys National Geographic so we still get that one and my son asked for Nat Geo Kids so we will subscribe to that one as well. I just got a really smashing great offer for Smithsonian and so will probably subscribe to it as well. Used to subscribe to Cottage Living but stopped when I realized that every "cottage" re-do was done by an architect and his artist wife, a lawyer and his antiques dealer wife, a doctor and his interior decorator wife and that the "cottages" were usually about 3000 to 5000 square feet in size. Not my idea of a "cottage". The magazine went under. I was not surprised. Although I will say that my most favorite part of that magazine was the back page where a reader sent in a photo of his or her home and an architect/designer did a lovely sketch of the home "cottage-d up". Wish I could get his name and send him a picture of my house. I love Bookmarks and must resubscribe but then I stop and look at the lists of titles I have written down from each issue of Bookmarks. I will never get through all of my TBR lists... let alone read magazines as well! How do you all find the time?! A note on the fundraising sales. My sister bought a mag from my daughter during a fundraising drive. The magazine title was switched on her from a travel magazine to a fishing magazine with no prior warning. And because she bought it through a clearing house, she had no recourse. The travel mag went under and the clearing house substituted something of similar value without consulting her. Comments (6)Well here's a few more of my babies. My Haworthia, though not sure what type exactly. It keeps pupping and I just let them all live together and it's starting to create a kind of bush. This is in a 6" pot. My Ponytail Palm. One of my favorite plants of all time. Within days of putting it outside it expanded to the point where it almost ripped right out of it's 4" pot. It's now in a 6" and the closest bulb on the right is about the size of a baseball. This one lost a couple leaves due to the neglect but held on really really well. Thanks goodness for water storing bulbs. Love. I realize the next two aren't cacti or succulents but they did hang on through all the issues so I hope no one minds if I include them here. My variegated Spath. Hasn't flowered for me in a while but it's real nice and full and I can't get enough of it. And my Dracaena marginata Tricolor. This one held on a lot better than my plain Dracaena marginata. Lost a lot fewer leaves and the growth remained much more compact. Thanks again for looking and happy growing to all!...See Morekbarb - San Francisco - Z10a
