Bluestar French door ovens
Comments (3)3 years ago We installed Blue S cooktop 36" w/ 6 burners and on opposite side of kitchen a French door 30" gas. I am not a baker. I generally use oven only a little HOWEVER since acquiring this blue star I use the oven a lot more. Having it high on the wall and the ability to get close to the racks... Eg not reach in and over a door is a great incentive! Really. Was concerned about 30" as we have generally had larger. The cavity is quite spacious. I can place several cookie sheets in at one go. Capacity is actually greater than my old 30" thermador electric below counter oven This is because a lot of the venting and insulation space is on top and below, not in side. We are satisfied customers!!! Now looking at BS French door 30" ELECTRIC for another home as we split our time between two cities due to work and family....See MoreNew Bluestar elec wall oven vs New Viking french door wall oven
Comments (122)yes have electric 3 yrs old & propane fueled 7 yrs old in different homes. no issues w doors (except to adapt to left closing). both perform well. electric more bells whistles being newer.. digital and pizza stone. however on advice on tech (we had 1 svc call for faulty thermostat ez repair but they pulled entire panel and replaced), pizza stone carefully removed, stored. this way oven heats and cools faster. note that neither throws excessive heat into space. trade off is a fan running to aid slow deliberate cool down. this might annoy in an open space eat in kitchen. our fan friendly oven is installed in walk in pantry utility room that houses freezer and extra refrig (main kitchen has 30" Leibherr)...See MoreBluestar electric French door installed
Comments (45)Thank you! You should have seen our old kitchen before the remodel 3 years ago. We built the house 29 years ago, so it was a complete gut out. Only the sink stayed in the same place. Best thing we ever did because we both love to cook. But what is MV?? We haven’t had any issues with the speed oven, that I can answer. It is actually my go to of the two ovens because it can do everything. I can fit a big 13x18” sheet pan in it. So, yes, you can bake cookies, chicken, casseroles etc. Because of its compact size, it comes up to temp within minutes and is extremely quiet. We use it in the microwave mode and then have the options for bake, convection bake, roast, broil, speed and other options. If I am baking just a casserole, a pie, a cake, or roasted veggies, for example, I use the speed oven....See Moredo you still love your bluestar?
Comments (62)I'm a year and half in and still love my 36" residential series BlueStar. Great heat on the range, easy to clean, awesome broiler... everything you hear is generally true. I have one qualm, I hate the oven racks. They are extremely hard to pull in/out without getting caught. There is too much given on the guides and you almost have to use 2 hands to get a rack to slide out. If anyone has any ideas, please hit me with them. I know they sell some racks on rollers (wish I had known up front, would have done that initially), but don't want to drop a couple hundred unless I have to. In general tho, fantastic product....See Moredietitian
