Hi - on an iMac here - I just click & drag a photo to my desktop - either from the web or iPhoto or any other folder on my computer, then click the photo link in the comments box & browse the desktop, select the file & click 'open' - & done. (just remember that photo will be inserted where the cursor was last - you can remove a misplaced photo by clicking @ the right side of it & using the delete button on your keyboard) When I'm finished, I put the desktop image in the trash or return it to its folder. BTW, you cannot click/drag photos from the messages here @ houzz( & on some other sites as well) - I use screen capture if I want to save & reuse any of them. If you want the steps for that, just ask... HTH

I use Chrome and Opera. Strangely, it works the way I want it (the relaxed viewing), using Opera on my laptop, but not on the desktop (again, using Opera). If it works with Chrome, then I'll use Chrome. I still wish they'd gray out what we've read.

question - if you do use Houzz and you save pictures in your idea book - how do you share them with people that are not on Houzz? I can't save them and it takes forever to load on my phone. I want to go to the tile store tonight and share the photos with the person there. :( now I am annoyed I started with an idea book here. Of course I have one on pinterest too, but I cant get the Houzz pictures there. Can I?

Hi All! Thanks for posting and providing feedback on the crossposting. Houzz does not do this automatically, each poster selects which categories their post should go to, and some may be better at this than others. When you see something that doesn't belong, please flag it and our team can take a look and help out. There may be a learning curve for some folks to understand the best places for each kind of discussion, but hopefully, overall, this change should result in more help for everyone. People that have been around for a long time, like some of you, are excellent guides for new people when you model how the forums work and we really appreciate that!
