Question about Ice Plant _See Photos
Comments (20)There probably is a way of cultivation in which you could encourage blooming short term. Those in florist trade might know that better. Not sure any magic miracle instant fertilizer that claims to help any and every plant do everything will help. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Ice plants are not marigolds. Maybe the Ice Plants are taking a "rest" after feeling the need to bloom so much early in the containers, and they will bloom some more later, it is only a week into May. I don't find it that unusual for other perennials to bloom abnormally when kept in a container at the store, and then stop blooming when you plant them. You can go the store and see early flowers on Pepper and Tomato plants for sale, doesn't mean they are supposed to bloom that young. What area of the country are you in? Maybe someone has some experience. Are these Ice Plants meant to be grown as an annual, or will you keep over the years?...See MoreQuestion about Design Fee
Comments (64)You did an excellent job with that email and I think the compromise was the best thing you could do to keep a good working relationship. Good news! I looked it up and apparently, Illinois is one state that you don't need a state license to become a GC. Can you believe that? Seems that only roofers and plumbers are required to hold a state license. From what I read, all anyone has to do to be a GC in your state is fill out an application form with the city/county, pay a licensing fee, get some insurance, and you are a GC. There is no test you have to pass, no proving years of building experience. Nothing. That's kinda scary to me, but I promise not to go off on that tangent. Haha! I had no idea where you were located before, and since most states have very strict requirements, that's why I was concerned for you. But since learning your states is an exception, I feel better that this company is legit. I need to learn to ask more questions before I flap my big mouth. I apologize and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous kitchen reveal!...See MoreCan I use the Houzz app to design with photo from camera roll on phone

Comments (23)I’m also frustrated when I click on a photo in the post, once finished it bounces me back to the beginning of the thread. It should leave you right at the photo in the post. This is extremely problematic for longer threads. I also still wish you’d cap posts once they hit a limit. Thousands in one post is ridiculous. People can start a new one with same old title and add a 2. Old thread can be linked to if still relevant. Everything doesn’t load at once in the long threads and then there’s that picture issue I mentioned above. If people want to chit chat, which is what many of them turn into, it would be nice if they used email or another method instead of pushing down other threads....See Moremaire_cate
