I was frustrated in the beginning, trying to re-register and keep my screen name, being bombarded by emails but eventually I learned how to cope with it.

Whatever remains now consists of my preference, mostly Visual and cosmetic in nature like the following:

1) Better text effects. Maybe in bold

2) the text background is too gray and cold.

3) Logo size and column is too small and narrow.

4) Need for an in house text editor, to eliminate the need for html coding.

That is enough for now.

WHAT ARE YOUR DISLIKES ?

I have been reading a lot of comments that in brief they say " I don't like the changes." without specifically saying what is that they don't like.

So, let us here in specific , what is about the new layout that you do not like ?

Its different. Haven't had enough hands on experience with it to say if its better or worse yet.

True_blue, 'John Davis' will bloom again on new wood, though the second "flush" generally isn't very significant. In order to climb, this rose NEEDS deeply dug fertile soil and feeding, otherwise you'll just end up with a shrub, but an attractive one at that. 'JD' can take zone 3 cold, but the biggest challenge is dealing with winter desiccation drying up the stems. Alberta (central Alberta included) will at times experience amazingly BALMY winter temps and the reflected heat from buildings will only further intensify and desiccate this rose. So, I water deeply prior to freeze up and attempt to lean 'JD' away from the house ... it's a challenge to get almost any rose to climb in our cold prairie climate. 'Olds Collage Rose' looks especially nice, thanks for posting vstapes :)

Thanks for your reply Tom Yes, at full (100%) the water does splash all over the place. It's splashes all over the place at any intensity setting. I expected a *gentle* roll at the much lower settings. Yes, the motor is installed remotely. It's in a closet at the front of the tub. Looks less than 3 feet from turbine to tub. There are 4 *wide* 90 degree bends. Calling customer service is next on my list. I called on Monday but they were closed. Left a voice mail but it hasn't been returned. Just wanted some input from owners and those that work with the tub for unbiased information :) Here is a picture of the turbine. David isn't finished but you can see how far it is from the tub. Tub is just on the other side of that access door. Another question. Shouldn't there be some kind of filter over the air INtake? Monica

RAF does dissolve the finish slightly, according to an expert on Woodworking Forum, also has some colorant and probably a mineral oil (polish). He says it starts looking dull again a month or so later (until you polish it again). I've never used it, you'd have to ask people here who have. If you find an antique table on CL and don't know how to restore the finish (please don't *refinish* it unless it's hopeless!), then find a pro who can. I can't see that RAF would damage a piece, but if you want to restore the finish to get rid of the scratches then it's best to use the solvent for the original finish (e.g., denatured alcohol for shellac) and/or build the finish (pad on more shellac, or brush/spray on more lacquer - either will have enough solvent in it to dissolve the very top of the old finish *if* the scratches are just in the finish). I've tried so many dishtowels and dish cloths, expensive and inexpensive, and have finally settled on a cotton waffle brand from Target. They're absorbent, textured enough to clean countertops and dishes, the size is good, plus having dark wash cloths that don't show stains so easily helps them last longer in the kitchen. They're stored in a kitchen drawer, and the wet dish cloth at the sink is rotated out daily. Wet linens are draped over the side of a plastic laundry basket tucked away in the laundry room until they dry so they don't get stinky which then require multiple washings or extra laundry additives. They're usually washed with our bath towels. I like the linens to match the color scheme of the kitchen. When they get worn or heavily stained, they're either moved to the outdoor kitchen or to a rag bin under the laundry sink.

Like Edymnion I haven't had a lot of experience, but I really don't like the layout. And I don't like having to waste my time to change settings so my mailbox doesn't fill up, it should be the opposite, the way they have it set up is not logical and it's frustrating. but to me, the biggest issue I have with it, is that valued members have left because of it. Getting back on was a real pain since I didn't remember my password, I let the computer remember for me, and if you weren't paying attention (and still you have to remember) if you hit the wrong thing it really does mess you up, I almost left because I couldn't get re-accepted.
